Why This Matters: Pride

Why This Matters: Pride

The current editors of SheHasDrive both identify as heterosexual females. We are both aware that in curating an issue that centers on PRIDE, this is very much a time when our role is to keep quiet, and listen.

We do, however, both want to reaffirm our commitment to sharing the experiences of all women, or, all womxn, as one of our current contributors reminds us. So if you identify as a member of the LGBTQ+ community, we want to assure you that you are always invited to contribute. Although SheHasDrive tends to have themed issues, we don't believe in limiting conversations about LGBTQ+ to one month, and we recognize and honor the multidemensionality and intersection of issues the LGBTQ+ community members care about.

So we'll let this issue’s contributions speak for themselves.

Sometimes what moves you to write is significant. Sometimes it feels trivial. But we all have authentic experiences, and through sharing those in our stories, we relate to each other.

Thanks for being proud of who you are. We're proud to know you.
